MOT Test
Mot test
We carry out our own Mot tests in-house, giving your car the care and expertise you would expect from a Mercedes specialist. If your car needs any further work to pass the test, we’ll ask you first. Any parts we use will be OE spec and have a parts and labour warranty.
How often do I need an Mot?
When your car is 3 years old it requires an Mot. Your Mot lasts for one year, so you need to have an Mot test every year.
What is an Mot test?
An Mot test is an examination of the vehicle to make sure it is roadworthy and safe at the time of the test. It is not a guarantee of the vehicle’s future roadworthiness after the test.
If your vehicle develops a fault later in the year that makes it unroadworthy, you may be committing an offence if you continue to drive it, even though you have a current Mot certificate. This is why regular servicing is so important.
